Old recipe. Delicious chocolate cake made with 1 cup Coke, and iced with a rich icing made with Coke and toasted nuts.

Ingredients
  • 2 cups flour
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 2 sticks butter
  • 3 tablespoons cocoa
  • 1 cup Coke
  • 1/2 cup buttermilk
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1 teaspoon soda
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1-1/2 cups miniature marshmallows
  • ICING
  • 1 stick butter
  • 6 tablespoons Coke
  • 3 tablespoons cocoa
  • 1 box powdered sugar
  • 1 cup toasted pecans, chopped

Directions
  1. In large mixing bowl, combine flour and sugar
  2. In a saucepan, heat butter, Coke, and cocoa to boiling point
  3. Pour over flour and sugar
  4. Combine and mix thoroughly
  5. Add other ingredients, and mix well
  6. Pour into a greased and floured 9 X 13 inch pan
  7. Bake at 350 for 30-35 minutes
  8. ICING
  9. Heat butter, Coke, and cocoa to boiling point
  10. Pour this mixture over powdered sugar
  11. Mix well
  12. Add toasted pecans
  13. Spread on hot cake
