How to make it

  • Make a dough out of the base ingredients,adding them one by one,and line the tart dish with this dough.
  • Bake in a preheated oven at 180 C for 7 minutes till lightly brown. Remove and cool.
  • Blend the cheese and the lychees into a smooth paste.
  • Add the sugar and egg yolks and whip again till smooth. Stir in the cream ,cardamom powder,vanilla essence. Pour into prepared tart base.
  • Bake in preheated oven at 150 C for 40 minutes. Remove from oven, let cool, then, place the lychees on top of the tart .
  • refrigerate for a couple of hours or more,serve cold!

    I wonder what fresh lychees taste like. Cardamom is great with peaches, apples and darker grapes. Hmm, wonder if my town even has lychees? Only a town of 30k in the middle of nowhere.
