How to make it

  • Combine flour, oats, 1/2 cup brown sugar, 1/2 cup butter in a bowl, mix until crumbly. Press into greased 9x13" pan. Bake at 350 for 15 minutes.Combine pumpkin, milk, eggs, sugar, salt, spices and beat well (my aunt says she doubles the filling recipe). Pour filling over crust and bake 20 minutes.
  • Combine pecans, brown sugar, and 2 tbsp butter, sprinkle over top of filling. Bake 15-20 minutes or until filling is set.
  • Cool and cut into squares, served with whipped cream.
  • My aunt likes to double the filling in the recipe and bake it for longer, it really is better that way.
