Green And White Lasagna

- 6 pieces lasagna uncooked shopping list
- 1/2 cup chopped onion shopping list
- 2 tablespoons butter shopping list
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch shopping list
- 1 tablespoon dried parsley flakes shopping list
- 1 teaspoon dried basil crushed shopping list
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder shopping list
- 1/8 teaspoon ground nutmeg shopping list
- 2 cups milk shopping list
- 10 ounce package frozen chopped spinach thawed and drained shopping list
- 1 small can sliced pitted ripe olives drained shopping list
- 15 ounce carton ricotta cheese shopping list
- 1 beaten egg shopping list
- 8 ounce package shredded mozzarella cheese shopping list
- 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese shopping list
How to make it
- Cook lasagna according to package directions then drain well.
- Rinse in cold water then drain again.
- In medium saucepan cook onion in butter until tender.
- Stir in cornstarch, parsley, basil, garlic powder and nutmeg.
- Add milk all at once then cook and stir until thickened and bubbly.
- Stir in spinach and olives.
- In medium bowl stir together ricotta and egg.
- Add mozzarella and half of the parmesan and mix well.
- Preheat oven to 350.
- Arrange three of the lasagna pieces in bottom of greased rectangular baking dish.
- Top with half of the spinach mixture and half the ricotta mixture then repeat layers.
- Top with remaining parmesan cheese then bake for 40 minutes then allow to stand 10 minutes.
