How to make it

  • Brown the beef and 1 lb. of the andouille sausage up in seperate pans, drain. and then place in a large stock pot
  • Add soup, tomato sauce, water
  • Add cabbage chopped to preferance
  • Add shallots (onions), celery, garlic, tomatoes, water and finally the pepper..I use a hotter style pepper but black pepper will suffice.
  • After all ingredients are added bring to slow boil the turn down heat and simmer for at least 2 hours
  • Cook the rice per package directions and add towards the end
  • This recipe freezes well!
