- 1/2 pound sea bass shopping list
- peanut oil shopping list
- 1/4 c vinegar shopping list
- 1/2 tsp freshly minced ginger shopping list
- 1/2 c sugar shopping list
- 1 tsp salt shopping list
- 1 ounce sherry shopping list
- 4 Tbsp soy sauce shopping list
- water chestnut flour shopping list
How to make it
- Clean and dry the sea bass.
- Deep fry in hot peanut oil until golden.
- Separately, make the sauce; start by combining 1 c boiling water, the vinegar, ginger, sugar, salt, sherry and soy sauce.
- Boil until the sauce reaches 230 degrees (the soft-ball stage, if you know how to make candy)
- Thicken with water chestnut flour to the desired consistency, and serve over the fish.
