- Crust: shopping list
- 1 c. flour shopping list
- 1/2 c. butter shopping list
- 1 T. water shopping list
- Topping: shopping list
- 1 c. water shopping list
- 1/2 c. butter shopping list
- 1 c. flour shopping list
- 3 eggs shopping list
- 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla or almond extract shopping list
- Frosting: shopping list
- 1 c. powdered sugar shopping list
- 1 tsp. almond extract shopping list
- 1 T. butter shopping list
- 1 T. cream shopping list
- 1/2 c. almond slices shopping list
How to make it
- Crust:
- Mix ingredients thoroughly, only add enough of the water as needed to hold together,pat on cookie sheet in 2 long strips about 3 to 4 inches wide.
- Topping:
- Heat oven to 375°. Heat water and butter over medium high to boiling point. As it is taken from the stove add flour and stir until smooth. Add eggs all at once, beating until smooth. Add extract and beat in. Spread mixture lightly over crusts. Bake for 45 minutes.
- Frosting:
- Mix all ingredients, except the sliced almonds, and spread on pastry. Evenly garnish the pastry with the sliced almonds.
