- 2 1/2 cups short pasta shapes shopping list
- 1 tbsp olive oil shopping list
- 4 tbsp heavy cream shopping list

- 1 onion, thinly sliced shopping list
- 1 small red pepper, cored, seeded and chopped shopping list
- 1 clove garlic, chopped shopping list
- 1 pound lean ground beef shopping list
- 1 (5 oz) can chopped tomatoes shopping list
- 1/2 cup dry white wine shopping list
- 2 tbsp chopped parsley shopping list
- 1 (2 oz) can anchovies, drained and chopped....I LEAVE THESE OUT shopping list

- TOPPING: shopping list
- 1 1/4 cup plain yogurt shopping list
- 3 eggs shopping list
- pinch of nutmeg shopping list
- 1/2 cup parmesan cheese shopping list
How to make it
- Sauce: heat the oil in a large skillet and fry the onion and the pepper for 3 minutes. Stir in the garlic and cook for 1 minute. stir and beef and cook, stirring frequently until all is browned.
- Add tomatoes and wine, stir well and bring to a boil. simmer, uncovered for 20 minutes or until the sauce is fairly thick. Stir in the parsley and anchovies and adjust the salt and pepper.
- Cook the pasta in boiling salted water with 1 tbsp olive oil added
- When almost tender, drain and transfer to a bowl. Stir in the cream and set aside
- Topping: beat together yogurt and eggs, season with nutmeg salt and pepper. Add parmesan cheese.
- Spray a 9 x 13 pan with cooking spray. Spoon in half the macaroni and cover with half the meat sauce. Repeat spreading the topping evenly over the dish and sprinkle with extra parmesean cheese.
- Bake in 375 degree oven for 25 minutes, until the topping is golden brown and bubbling.
