Ingredients

How to make it

  • Brown sausage and crumble. Drain and set aside.
  • Place onions, potatoes, chicken broth, water, garlic in pot and cook on medicum heat until potatoes are done.
  • Add sausage and bacon
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Simmer for another 10 minutes
  • Turn to low heat
  • Add Kale and cream
  • Heat through and serve
  • Serve with a crusty bread and you have a meal fit for a king

    doesn't need bacon. you can do without the chicken broth, add some grated Romano at the end. trust me....use the Romano cheese.

    1 cup of heavy cream is WAY too much. It really ruined the broth. I would use half that much and maybe use milk or half and half. The heavy cream took over the soup and made it way too heavy and milky.

    Oh I loved this! I'd been looking everywhere for the copycat and couldn't find it on the Olive Garden site along with their posted recipes. I'll have to make a note to buy more potatoes and kale on my next trip to the grocers!

    I made this the other day, for my family and everyone loved it we literally had nothing left in the pot the same day. sooo good and just like olive gardens. i should know cause i love love love that soup:)thank you!!!!!!!
