Ingredients
  • 30 whole water chestnuts (canned are fine)
  • 1- 1lb pk of bacon
  • 1 bottle of bbq sauce (honey bbq sauce works best but any will do)
  • toothpicks (silly but it's one of those things we sometimes forget to buy!)

Directions
  1. Preheat your oven to 325 degrees.
  2. Cut each of the slices of bacon into 3 equal portions. one piece of bacon should yield enough for 3 water chestnuts.
  3. Wrap one slice of bacon around a water chestnut securing with a tooth pick.
  4. Dip into the bbq sauce.
  5. Bake for around 20 minutes. Bacon should not be crispy and hard. It should be just done and tender.
  6. Serve immediately. None are ever leftover!

My sister makes these every year at the holidays and they're gone as soon as she plates them. Thanks for posting.
