How to make it

  • You will also need:
  • *About twelve printed messages cut into strips.
  • *Parchment paper
  • *A stencil of a circle. Remember if you fold the sircle in half and fold it again, that is how big your cookie will be.
  • *Pencil
  • *Cookie sheet pans
  • *Table Spoon
  • * Two small zip lock bags
  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • Cut a size of parchment paper to fit the size of your cookie sheet. If you are using more than one cookie sheet, do this for each pan. The cookie in the photo is a larger cookie and only two can be cooked at one time. You may make your cookies the size you desire. Using your stencil trace your cirle onto the perchment paper with a pencil. The pencil will not affect your food product because you are going to now turn over the paper. You should see your circles through the paper.
  • Whip the eggs whites unitl stiff and chill.
  • In a mixer. cream butter, then add sugar and continue to mix.
  • Add the flour and blen in, then add vanilla or almond flavoring and blend again.
  • Add the chilled egg whites and mix on low until everything is well incorportated and the blatter is smooth.
  • With a table spoon spread the batter inside the circles you made, spreading the batter using a circular motion to the edges of the circle. Bake 7-8 minutes until light golden brown.
  • Numbers 8 and 9 must be done quickly, and it will be hot!
  • Quickly remove the pan from the oven and one at a time place your fortune strip accross the middle of the cicle, with a bit hanging out.
  • Fold the cookie into thirds over the fortune with flaps only slightly overlaping each other. Turn over and bring opposite sides together and pinch.
  • Let cool.
  • Place white chocolate in one zip lock bag and the simi-sweet chocolate in another bag. Leave bags unlocked. Place one of them in the micorwave for 30 seconds. Filp it over and use 20 second rounds to massage chocolate in bag until melted. DO NOT COOK THE CHOCOLATE, just melt it. Repeat with the other bage of chocolate.
  • Push the chocolate into one corner of the bags. Zip up the bags. Cut a small hole in the corner of the bag one bag at a time. The chocolate will begin to ooze out the hole. Squeeze the chocolate through the hole and drizzle onto cookies. Repeat with the other bag of chocolate. Let Cool.
  • ENJOY!
