Swedish Pie Recipe
A simple and tasty apple dessert that can be put together very quickly. This was the first recipe I made by myself as a child.

Ingredients
  • 1 egg
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • pinch of salt
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 cup finely chopped apple

Directions
  1. Beat egg until light
  2. Add sugar, vanilla, salt, flour, and baking powder and beat until batter is smooth
  3. Fold in apples
  4. Pour into greased and floured 9 inch pan
  5. Bake in 350 degree oven for 35 minutes until golden brown

It does look very simple. I want to get my grandson learn how to cook. I was cooking full meals by the time I was 12. He is going to be that this year.

Since my family background is Swedish, this pie caught my eye! (That rhyme was unintentional!)
Sound easy and good! Maybe I'll post my Mom's Swedish meatball recipe sometime.
