Easy homemade coffee liqueur, the hardest part is the wait for it to "cure" and my goodness, those are the longest two weeks ever!

Ingredients
  • 1 jar (2 ounces) instant coffee
  • 4 cups of sugar
  • 2 cups of boiling water
  • 1 pint of brandy
  • 1 real vanilla bean

Directions
  1. Stir coffee and sugar in a medium bowl.
  2. Add boiling water and stir well to melt the sugar.
  3. Cool to room temperature and stir in the brandy.
  4. Cut vanilla bean in two inch pieces.
  5. Drop in a large jar and pour cooled coffee/brandy mixture over the vanilla bean pieces.
  6. Cover tightly and store in a dark cool place for at least 15 days or longer.
  7. Turn or shake the jar once a week.
  8. Will keep at room temperature for 3 months.
  9. Refrigerate for longer storage.
  10. Makes about 6 cups.
