How to make it

  • Combine sugar, oil & eggs; mix well
  • Stir in molasses.
  • Combine dry ingredients and add to creamed mixture and blend well
  • Shape into ¾ inch balls and roll in sugar
  • Place 2” apart on ungreased cookie sheets
  • Bake at 350 for 10-12 mins. or until cookie springs back when touched
  • Cool
  • Melt chips and shortening together in small saucepan
  • Dip cookies ½ way , shake off excess
  • Place on wax paper lined sheets or racks until set
