How to make it

  • Dice buttered bread into a 2 qt baking dish
  • Stir in the optional raisins
  • Sprinkle with sugar/spice mixture
  • Beat salt and eggs slightly, gradually beat in milk and pour evenly over bread
  • Bake at 325 until set, about 30 minutes

    I can't believe I raised my family without making bread pudding. It was something my Grandma used to make, yumm. I think I will give it a try this week.

    We just love bread pudding! Great comfort food! I first learned to make it when I was 5 years old! This is a great recipe, especially with that brown sugar! :)
