Ingredients

How to make it

  • Melt butter in your mixing bowl
  • add remaining ingredients (don't add eggs first or you'll get scrambled eggs in your biscotti, yuck!)
  • mix with a mixer till combined
  • dump onto a parchment covered baking sheet
  • mold into a large rectangle, sort of push up the center a bit to make that all impressive biscotti hump
  • bake at 350 for 30 minutes
  • take biscotti out of the oven, let cool for 10 minutes, do not turn off oven
  • cut the biscotti into 14 (grotesquely large) or 28 slices. gently, carefully turn them on their side on the parchment
  • return to oven for 10 minutes then turn off the oven and leave them alone (inside the oven) for 30 minutes
  • take them out and cool them completely on a wire rack about 2 hours before containering them up (this is where you'd go dipping crazy with the chocolate chips, ask if you have questions)
  • Enjoy! We especially love them with our afternoon espresso.

Sounds wonderful and easy. Just what I love. Wonder if you could add some lemon zest or extract for that extra punch.

    Thanks for your post. DottieT
