I know this is a very easy and probably well known recipe but it's in honor of my oldest son's 18th birthday tomorrow. It's his all time favorite dessert so I feel I must post it as I'm having a hard time believing he is 18!

BTW my mother-in-law swore by Duncan Hines' White Cake mix and preferred pecans, coming as she did from Florida.

I, too, had misplaced this recipe. Thank you for posting it. Congrats on getting at least one child through age 18--a real acomplishment.

My mother-in-law's recipe in the Corona del Mar High School cookbook 30+ years ago is packed in boxes during a water-damage restoration. It's my son's 29th birthday. For dessert I NEED the proportions of fat to cake mix from the recipe, and this is exactly what I was looking for.
