German Chocolate Bars Recipe
This is another way to get your fix of German Chocolate Cake! Cut out of Taste of Home magazine.

Ingredients
  • 1 pkg (18-1/4 oz) German chocolate cake mix
  • 2/3 cup cold butter
  • 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1 can (15 oz) coconut pecan frosting
  • 1/4 cup milk

Directions
  1. Preheat oven to 350F. Place cake mix in a bowl and cut in butter until crumbly. Press 2-1/2 cups into a greased 13" x 9" baking pan.
  2. Bake for 10 minutes; immediately sprinkle with chocolate chips.
  3. Drop frosting by tablespoonfuls over the chips.
  4. Stir milk into the remaining cake mix/butter mixture. Drop by teaspoonfuls over the top.
  5. Bake 25 to 30 minutes or until bubbly arond the edges and top is cracked. Cool (while still in pan) on a wire rack. Refrigerate 4 hours before cutting.
  6. Makes 4 dozen bars.
