Linguine with Chicken and Spicy Broccoli

- 2 boneless, skinless chicken Breasts shopping list
- Drizzle of olive oil shopping list
- Pinch of garlic powder shopping list
- salt & pepper shopping list
- 1 lb. Whole Wheat/Whole Grain linguine shopping list
- 1 tsp. olive oil shopping list
- 1 large bunch broccoli florets shopping list
- 2 cloves garlic, minced shopping list
- 1/4 tsp. crushed red pepper flakes shopping list
- 1 14 oz. can Petite diced tomatoes shopping list
- fresh parmesan cheese shopping list
How to make it
- Drizzle chicken with olive oil and season with garlic powder, salt and pepper.Set aside for 15 minutes.
- Sautee chicken until cooked through, set aside.
- Cook pasta according to package directions.
- Heat oil in a heavy saucepan over medium heat. Sauté broccoli, garlic, and chili pepper flakes for about 1 minute.
- Add tomatoes. Season with salt and pepper.
- Cover saucepan and reduce heat to low. Simmer 7-8 minutes or until broccoli is bright green and tender and tomato sauce has thickened.(Add a little water if necessary.)
- Toss broccoli mixture with pasta.
- Slice chicken in thin slices.
- Serve chicken over top of pasta mixture.
- Top with freshly grated parmesan cheese.
