1960 Surprise Potatoes

Recipe from 1960. Does anybody remember? A baking potato is cored like an apple, and stuffed with a link sausage! Baked for an hour at 375 degrees.
Ingredients
- 6 baking potatoes, nice sized shopping list
- 6 link sausages, your favorite shopping list
- shortening (Crisco) shopping list
How to make it
- Brown sausages in frying pan
- Drain on paper towel
- Core center of potatoes with apple corer
- Put sausage in each potato
- Plug each end of potato with the piece taken out
- Secure with a toothpick, or wrap so that foil holds it in place
- Grease potato with shortening
- Wrap in foil, bake in oven for 1 hour, or little longer at 375 degrees
