Crispy Corn Meal Waffles

when you want something different that your regular pancakes and waffles these make a nice change.. I've never tried this but I think adding some blueberries to these might be good. recipe is from an old Better Homes Bread Book
Ingredients
- 1 cup flour shopping list
- 2 teasp. baking powder shopping list
- 1 teasp. baking soda shopping list
- 1 teasp. sugar shopping list
- 1/2 teasp. salt shopping list
- 1 cup yellow corn meal shopping list
- 2 beaten eggs shopping list
- 2 cups buttermilk shopping list
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil shopping list
How to make it
- mix flour, baking powder, baking soda, sugar, salt and cornmeal
- mix in eggs, buttermilk and vegetable oil all at once
- mix only until dry ingredients are moistened.
- put approx 1/4 - 1/2 cup in preheated waffle iron
