Aunt Marys Irish Bread

- 3 cups flour shopping list
- 3 teaspoons baking powder shopping list
- 1/4 shortning shopping list
- 2 eggs beaten shopping list
- 1 Cup milk shopping list
- 2 cups raisins, soaked in boiling water, then drained shopping list
- 1/2-1 cup chopped walnuts shopping list
- Cinnomon shopping list
- sugar shopping list
- nutmeg shopping list
How to make it
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees
- Measure out raisins and cover with boiling water
- Combine flour and baking powder
- Cut in shortning
- Combine eggs and milk
- Add wet to dry and mix, you may need to add a bit more milk
- Batter will be thick
- Drain raisins, fold into batter
- Fold in walnuts
- Spread batter into bundt pan
- Sprinkle top with cinnomon, sugar and nutmeg
- Bake at 350 for 40 minutes or until lightly browned
- Remove from pan and slice
- It is also good toasted with butter
