Ingredients

How to make it

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees
  • Measure out raisins and cover with boiling water
  • Combine flour and baking powder
  • Cut in shortning
  • Combine eggs and milk
  • Add wet to dry and mix, you may need to add a bit more milk
  • Batter will be thick
  • Drain raisins, fold into batter
  • Fold in walnuts
  • Spread batter into bundt pan
  • Sprinkle top with cinnomon, sugar and nutmeg
  • Bake at 350 for 40 minutes or until lightly browned
  • Remove from pan and slice
  • It is also good toasted with butter
