Ingredients

Dip or sauce

1/2 cup tomato ketchup

3/4 cup cider vinegar

1/4 cup brown sugar

all spices 1/2 tsp.

black pepper

onion powder

garlic powder

rubbed sage

crushed red pepper

old bay seasoning

tabasco( liquid)

add all spices to vinegar whisk till dissolved.

whisk in ketchup & sugar bring to simmer

add warm water till sauce is thin

8lb. boston butt

line roasting pan with foil place butt in center salt and pepper cover lose cook for 4 hrs. 225 degrees uncover spoon on dip. cover lose cook for 4 more hrs . uncover spoon on dip do not cover. cook till 160 degrees in center of butt.

remove and let rest. chop from fine to coarse adding dip as you chop. or slice. serve warm dip with meal.
