Grilled Miso Fish

- 2 lbs halibut steak, about 1" thick (to be cut in 6oz serving portions) shopping list
- miso Marinade: shopping list
- 1/2 cups sweet white miso shopping list
- 1/3 cups sweetened rice wine (mirin) shopping list
- 1 1/2 tbsp minced fresh ginger shopping list
- 2 tbsp scallion greens shopping list
How to make it
- Rince the fish steaks under cold, running water and drain thouroughly in a colander.
- Cut the steaks into six pieces and place in a bowl.
- Add the Miso Marinade to the steaks and toss lightly to coat the fish steaks.
- Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for atleast 1 hr or for several hours.
- Prepare a medium-hot fire for grilling and place the grill about 3" above the coals.
- Remove fish from the miso marinade, spreading the marinade with your hands so that there is a light coating. Arange the fish on the grill and cook about 5-6 mins. on each side, or until flesh is opaque.
- **Alternatively you can broil fish about 7-9 mins on each side. Miso Glaze should bubble and brown on the edge.
