How to make it

  • Cut acorn squash in half and spoon out seeds and discard.
  • Bake @ 400 degrees in large pan cut side down in 1/4 inch of water for 35 minutes.
  • Cook the orzo according to directions and set aside.
  • Spray non-stick skillet on medium heat with cooking spray and cook onion until almost transluesent and then add garlic and cook for a couple of minutes.
  • Add sausage and chicken, seasoning with paprika, and cook until both are fully cooked.
  • Add soup and milk to meat mixture until mixed to desired consistency, and then add cooked orzo and black pepper.
  • After the acorn squash are done, turn them over and fill them heaping with the meat/orzo mixture.
  • Bake for an additional 10 minutes.

    yup! I have a pretty good imagination w/ food...I don't usually ever use cream of anything soup or anything already prepared, but I think I had some in my pantry leftover from a holiday or something. It came out nice and creamy though!
