How to make it

  • Cut steak into bite size small cubes
  • In large stock pot, over medium heat cook steak, oil, onion and garlic
  • Heat until meat is cooked, stirring frequently
  • Add in tomatoes and mushrooms, do not drain either
  • Add water, bouillon cubes, beef powder, basil and pepper
  • Bring to a Boil, Reduce heat and Simmer covered.
  • Simmer a minimum of 1 hour but it can simmer all day if needed
  • 15 Minutes prior to eating, Add uncooked noodles and cover.
  • Serve and enjoy.
  • Excellent to prepare early in the day, let simmer and at dinner time just add the noodles and you are done.

    Yes...Yes...Yes....simple and very tasty!!
    I used some leftover sirloin that I had grilled onthe weekend, grilling added a nice taste!!
    THIS IS DEFINITELY A COMFORT FOOD....AT LEAST FOR ME!! Couple it with a nice glass of Shiraz or Merlot, and it's a winner...In fact I added Merlot to the soup, during cooking....wine adds such a nice flavor to soups!!
