How to make it

  • In saucepan, stir together cornstarch, sugar, salt and pepper.
  • Stir in vinegar and combined beet juice and water. Cook, stirring constantly, until mixture thickens and boils.
  • Boil and stir 1 min.
  • Add beets and onion and heat through.

    I usually add just a bit more sugar, but these are sooooooooo good, my mom always called them sugar spiced beets... they are worth a 5
