Ingredients
  • 1 jar bicks wine saurkraut
  • 1/2 of the same jar of long grain white rice.
  • 1 lb bacon - cut it into small pieces and fry ahead of time to get rid of the grease
  • 1 medium onion
  • salt and pepper

Directions
  1. Cut up the bacon and fry it in a pan, saute the onions in the same fryingpan when the bacon is close to being done,drain the fat off.
  2. Drain the Bicks saurkraut while in the jar and rince it twice by filling the jar that it came in with water and dumping.
  3. Dump the Saurkraut from the jar into a large casserole dish.
  4. Add the bacon and onions to the casserole dish.
  5. Add 1/2 jar of long grain white rice to the dish.
  6. Add 1 jar of water to the dish.
  7. Add the salt and pepper to taste. Stir it up and put the lid on and cook at 350 degrees, check at the 1/2 hour mark and add water if needed.
  8. Serve this with sausage and beer and everybody will be your friend for life.
