This is a festive salad that I usually make around the holidays. Everyone loves it. It can be used as a pie as well. It keeps very well. Blueberry pie filling could be used instead of cherry..This recipe was also passed down from work...

Ingredients
  • 1 can cherry pie filling
  • 1 large can of crushed pineapple well drained
  • 1 large tub of cool whip softened
  • 1 can sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 small bag of coconut
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • 2 cups mini marshmellows

Directions
  1. Mix all together well.
  2. Chill for about an hour before serving

Quick question. I can't get cool whip here. Could I substitute whipped cream for the cool whip?

I dont see why you cant use the whipped cream...Ive never done that but it should work.

Thanks for the great easy recipe - I will definately be trying blueberry! Bet it is really pretty! Will be bringing to Thanksgiving!
