How to make it

  • Preheat oven to 425 degrees. Melt butter in lg. saucepan, add onion and garlic; cook & stir until mixture boils and thickens, about 2 min.
  • Remove pan from heat. Stir in spinach,water chestnuts, cheese and vegie soup mix. Spoon dip into a 1 qt. casserole dish. Sprinkle with parmesan.
  • Bake until bubbly 10-15 min. Serve warm

    I have this recipe card at home... it's amazing... but I think you missed a few steps... after you melt the butter you are supposed to cook the garlic and onion in it and then add the flour until lightly browned and then add the half and half and cook it until it thickens... then just follow the recipe as written. It's sooo good.

    This sounds great...reminds me of the cold spinach dip in the bread bowl, which I can't seem to let alone when I make it...I'm not satisfied til it's all gone! Warm and cheesy, though...mmmmmm!

    I love this dish. I usually don't make it because DH won't eat it and I don't need to eat it all. The only way I eat spinach...covered in cheese. Great for a NASCAR party!
