Roast Honey Ginger Pears

- 4 large pears, preferably a medium-sharp variety shopping list
- 6 Tbs orange-blossom or wild clover honey shopping list
- 3 tsp grated fresh ginger root, pulverized or processed very fine shopping list
- 1/3 C water shopping list
How to make it
- Preheat oven to 350 F
- In the same way you would core an apple, take the centers out of the pears.
- Skin the pears and place them in a 9x12 glass cooking dish
- Combine the honey, ginger and water in a small dish.
- Fill each pear halfway with the ginger sauce, then brush some sauce thouroughly over the outside of the pears to glaze them. Reserve a bit for a second coating later.
- Bake at 350 F for 10-12 minutes, until pears have slightly softened.
- Remove pears from oven, place a second coat of glaze.
- Return tray to oven and broil on high for 2-3 minutes, until glaze has caramelized to desired texture.
- Remove, serve immediately.
