Southern Pecan Pie Recipe
A rich southern favorite pecan pie..It is also good served with whip cream or vanilla ice cream. This is the only recipe for pecan pie my hubby likes...Ive made this pie for over 30 years..

Ingredients
  • 4 large eggs
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 Tablespoon flour
  • 1 1/4 cup karo syrup
  • pinch of salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 unbaked pie shell
  • 1/ 1/2 cups pecans

Directions
  1. Beat eggs
  2. Mix flour and sugar together and add to eggs
  3. Fold in other ingredients
  4. Pour into uncooked pie shell and bake for 10 minutes at 350 degrees
  5. Then 50 minutes at 300 degrees

I have never made a pecan pie but I am planning on making one this year for Thanksgiving. I have a couple of questions for you, Do you use light or dark corn syrup and do you refrigerate any leftovers?
