Ingredients
  • 1box yellow cake mix
  • 1cup four 1-1/2 sticks butter or margarine
  • 1cup chopped peacans
  • 1cup coconut
  • 1 10oz jar apricot preserves

Directions
  1. mix cake mix and flour
  2. cut butter in to mixture
  3. add coconut and nuts
  4. mix well
  5. pat 2/3 of the mixture in to a 9x13 ungreased pan
  6. spread apricot preserves evenly over this layer
  7. crumble remaining mix over the preserves
  8. pat down lightly
  9. bake 1 hour at 325 f
  10. after these have cooled some i always go around the edge of the pan with a spatula and then cut into squares because they are much easier to divide while they are warm
