Wet-Bottom Shoo-Fly Pie Recipe
Follow the recipe for the Shoo-Fly Pie Crust and easily make this PA Dutch Classic.

Ingredients
  • Make the pie crusts (2) and prepare the shells according to recipe.
  • Liquid:
  • 1 cup Molasses
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 cup boiling water
  • Crumbs:
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/4 pound butter
  • pinch of salt

Directions
  1. Mix all liquid ingredients in medium bowl.
  2. Divide liquid ingredients in half.
  3. Place in bottom of pie shells.
  4. Mix all crumb ingredients together in medium bowl.
  5. Divide crumbs in half and sprinkle on top of liquid.
  6. Bake at 375 degrees for 30 minutes, or until pie springs back when lightly touched.
  7. Cool before serving.
