Ingredients

How to make it

  • In a 10-inch skillet or sauté pan over medium heat, melt butter.
  • Add sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg: mix well.
  • Add bananas and sauté until they begin to soften (about 1 minute on each side.)
  • Pour in liqueur and rum.
  • Heat the liqueur, then remove from flames .
  • Tilt pan to ignite liqueur.
  • Do not ignite your eyebrows; must be over 21 to make :)
  • Shake pan slightly to prolong flames.
  • When flames burn out, place 2 banana halves on each serving plate.
  • Place a scoop of ice cream between the banana halves and spoon the sauce over all.
  • I use a banana liqueur instead of drambuie.
  • Serves 2.

My Granddaughter,Chloe, and I have always gone to a local restaurant for bananas foster(our favorite desert)until they started putting cashews in it(YUK)and ruined it. Now we will make our own with your wonderful recipe. Thanks Conner! Marcia
