Fresh Apple Bread

- 2 cups flour shopping list
- 2 tsp. baking powder shopping list
- 1 tsp. salt shopping list
- 1/2 tsp. cinnamon shopping list
- 1/4 tsp. grated nutmeg shopping list
- 1/2 cup butter shopping list
- 1 1/4 cups sugar shopping list
- 2 eggs shopping list
- 2 granny smith apples, peeled, cored and finely grated shopping list
- 3/4 cup chopped walnuts or pecans shopping list
How to make it
- Sift together the flour, baking powder, salt, cinnamon and grated nutmeg
- Cream the butter
- Gradually add the sugar until mixture is light and fluffy
- Beat in eggs, one at a time
- Alternately ad the flour mixture and apples to creamed mixture
- Stir in nuts
- Pour into well greased 9 inch loaf pan
- Bake at 350F for 50-60 minutes or until bread is nicely browned and springs back when lightly pressed in the center
- Cool for 10-15 minutes in the pan before removing
- Cool completely before slicing

Sounds like a wonderfully moist bread! - I notice it's similar to its proportions in ingredients to banana bread? Is it as moist?
