How to make it

  • In 6-qt. pot of boiling water, cook kale, uncovered, until almost tender (5-7 minutes)
  • Drain, transfer to cold water bath so stops cooking
  • When cool, drain - do not squeeze
  • In same pot, over medium heat, cook garlic in oil, until fragrant
  • Add kale, dried cranberries, salt and pepper, tossing frequently, until kale tender 4-6 minutes
