Ingredients

How to make it

  • Cream butter and sugar together. Mixture should be light and fluffy.
  • Add water, rum, and vanilla and combine.
  • Add carob powder, chip, and oats. Mix well.
  • Roll into small balls. If dough is not sticking together well, splash a little water on it.
  • If desired, roll in chopped walnuts, or confectioner's sugar, or coconut, or a combination of all three.

Better add this, once the Carob powder and chips have actually been made, they have a taste very similar to that of chocolate.

Actually, its an Eastern Mediteranian evergreen tree that has edible pods. The pods are used to make carob powder and carob chips. The pod itself actually contains a very sweet-tasting pulp like middle.
