How to make it

  • Cut off tough lower stem of the broccoli. Cut the remaining stem into 3/4" slices and make flowerets. Steam broccoli for 5 minutes, drain and submerge in ice water to stop the cooking. When cold, drain and set aside.
  • Dressing:
  • Mix the miso with the rice vinegar, Mirin and sesame oil. Set aside.
  • Chop the green onions finely.
  • Toast the sesame seeds by placing over medium heat in a frying pan. Heat till golden, shaking pan so the seeds don't burn.
  • Put all ingredients together and toss gently. Serve at room temperature.
