Granola Recipe

Granola Recipe
I have been making this granola recipe for 20 years. It originated in an English vegetarian cookbook, but over the years it has been modified some. There's nothing like homemade granola with some vanilla yoghurt.

Ingredients
  • 1 5/8 cups rolled oats
  • 1 cup blanched almonds
  • 1 cup hazelnuts, chopped
  • 1 cup cashews, un-roasted
  • 1 cup walnuts, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons sesame seeds
  • 2 tablespoons sunflower seeds, roasted
  • 8 tablespoons honey
  • 2 tablespoons sunflower oil

Directions
  1. Pre-heat the oven to 350°F.
  2. Mix all the dry ingredients together, then stir in the honey and oil.
  3. Mix thoroughly and spread the mixture out on an oiled baking sheet.
  4. Bake for about 20 minutes, then take it out, turn the mixture over and break it up slightly.
  5. Bake for a further 40 [probably not that long] minutes, ensuring that it browns evenly.
  6. Break into chunks again while still warm.

Yes, indeed! I've also posted a granola recipe I've used for a long time, as well as a yogurt recipe. I'll have to give your granola a try. It's hard to make a bad granola!
