How to make it

  • Grease crock pot or spray with non stick cooking spray.
  • Cook rotini according to package directions then drain well.
  • Brown beef and sausage and drain well.
  • Toss pasta with olive oil then add pasta sauce to mixture and toss well.
  • Stir together parmesan cheese, breadcrumbs, egg, 1 cup mozzarella and browned meat.
  • Beat together ricotta, eggs, parmesan, parsley, salt and pepper.
  • Pour half of pasta then sauce into crock pot.
  • Spread entire ricotta mixture over first layer of pasta.
  • Cover ricotta layer with remaining pasta mixture and cover with remaining cheese.
  • Cover and cook on low for 6 hours.
