How to make it

  • Whisk eggs, sugar, essence and milk in medium bowl.
  • Stir inrice and sultanas.
  • Pour mixture into 4 ovenproof dishes ( 1 cup capacity).
  • Place dishes into baking dish, add enough water to come halfway up sides of dishes.
  • Bake in moderate oven for 35 mins.
  • Sprinkle custard lightly with cinnamon, bake further 15 minutes or until just set.
  • Serve warm or cold with ice-cream, if desired.

    Love rice custard or rice pudding! Grew up on this wonderful, comforting dessert. Even love it for breakfast. Good recipe.
