How to make it

  • Make red wine syrup: Bring wine to a boil in a non-reactive heavy bottomed sauce pan and reduce by half.
  • Remove from heat and add the sugar.
  • Stir to dissolve.
  • Add the brandy, Cointreau, and peach liqueur and chill.
  • To make drink: Shake vodka, syrup and lemon juice with ice and strain into chilled martini glass.
  • Top with grape halves that have been marinated in the peach liqueur for at least five minutes.
