Ingredients
  • Red Wine Syrup:
  • 1 bottle red wine, young and fruity (Beaujolais)
  • 1 cup of sugar
  • 1 ounce of brandy
  • 1 ounce of cointreau
  • 1 ounce of peach liquor
  • For Drink:
  • 2 ounces of chilled vodka
  • 1 1/2 ounces of red wine syrup
  • splash of fresh lemon juice
  • Garnish
  • 1 grape, halved
  • 1 ounce peach liquor

Directions
  1. Make red wine syrup: Bring wine to a boil in a non-reactive heavy bottomed sauce pan and reduce by half.
  2. Remove from heat and add the sugar.
  3. Stir to dissolve.
  4. Add the brandy, Cointreau, and peach liqueur and chill.
  5. To make drink: Shake vodka, syrup and lemon juice with ice and strain into chilled martini glass.
  6. Top with grape halves that have been marinated in the peach liqueur for at least five minutes.
  7. Makes one drink. (Sorry Salty Mike)
