Crockpot New England Clam Chowder

- 6 Slices of bacon, diced shopping list
- 2 onions, chopped shopping list
- 5 Cans (6.5 oz each) clams, drained *reserve liquid shopping list
- 6 Medium potatoes, cubed, peeled-if you prefer shopping list
- 2 T garlic, minced shopping list
- 1 tsp black pepper shopping list
- 2 - 12oz Cans evaporated milk shopping list
- salt, to taste shopping list
- water shopping list
How to make it
- In medium skillet, cook bacon and onions until onions are tender
- Place drained, cooked bacon in Crockpot
- Add enough water to reserved clam juice to make 3 Cups
- Pour into Crockpot
- Add potatoes, garlic and pepper (salt optional) to Crockpot
- Cover and cook on LOW 7 Hours
- Mix in Clams and 2 cans of milk
- Cover and cook on LOW additional 30-45 minutes.
- (adjust seasoning if necessary)
