Very pleasing seafood dish. I first tried this dish while living in Virginia Beach, VA and I have loved it since. I serve it over white rice.

Ingredients
  • 6 Tbsp butter
  • 4 1/2 tsp olive oil
  • 1/3 cup chpd fresh parsley
  • 5 cloves of garlic crushed
  • 1/8 tsp white pepper
  • 1 1/4 lbs large shrimp about 25 shrimp peel and devein
  • 1/3 cup cooking sherry or vegie broth
  • juice from 1/2 of a lemon
  • Chpd. parsley

Directions
  1. Melt butter stir in olive oil. Saute onion,parsley,garlic and white pepper.Stir continually till onion is tender.
  2. Add shrimp to onion mixture. Cook over high heat stirring frequently, till shrimp is pink and mixture is hot and bubbly.
  3. Add sherry and lemon juice and mix well.
  4. Cook over med heat stirring frequently till sauce is thickened.
  5. About 8 min.
  6. Garnish it with the chpd parsley and maybe a sliced piece of lemon.
