Saucy Chicken - Newfoundland Recipe

Ingredients

1/2 cup ketchup

1/4 cup brown sugar

1/4 cup vinegar

2 tsp Worchestershire sauce

1/2 tsp onion powder

1/2 tsp garlic powder

2 tsps. salt

1/2 tsp. pepper

Approx 3 lbs. chicken

Directions

Mix frist 8 ingredients in a bowl. Arrange chicken in a dish, large enough for a single layer.

Pour sauce evenly over chicken, coating each piece .

Cover and bake approx 1 hour at 350.

Good Morning to you Vi! When I was a little girl, our neighbours across the street were from Newfoundland. Now get this. I'm pretty sure they prepared a chicken dish very similar to yours when my mother came home from hospital after surgery. It was so darn good and when my mother was up and about, she prepared it several times. Thanks so much for this recipe Vi. It's a "5"
