Baked Noodle casserole layered with sour cream and cherry pie filling. Goes great with brisket

Ingredients
  • 8 ounces egg noodles
  • 3 eggs beaten
  • 1/4 cup sugar or Splenda
  • 1 14 ounce can cherry pie filling to which you have added 1/8th teaspoon almond extract and stirred well.
  • 1 stick butter softened
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla
  • 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 4 ounces sour cream

Directions
  1. Cook and drain the noodles
  2. Mix butter with sugar and cinnamon, vanilla and eggs.
  3. Mix in the sour cream
  4. In a round 1 1/2 quart greased casserole, place 1/2 the noodle mixture, then 1/2 the cherry pie filling, then the rest of the noodle mixture and top with the remaining cherry pie filling.
  5. Bake at 350 degrees for 30-45 minutes
  6. Let stand 10 minutes before serving.
