Easy Brownies Recipe

This has been a quick favorite dessert since my kids were little...they are now 31 and 36 and it's still a favorite.

Ingredients
- 1/4 c.cocoa
- 1/3 c. shortening or margarine
- 1 c. sugar
- 2 eggs
- 3/4 c. flour
- 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 c. sunflower nuts (opt.)
- 1/2 c. chocolate chips (opt.)
- powdered sugar (opt.)
Directions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- Grease an 8X8 inch square pan
- In a medium size bowl mix the first 7 ingredients.
- Add the nuts and chocolate chips if desired.
- Bake for 25 minutes
- Cool.
- Sift powdered sugar over top if desired.
