- 1 1/2-2 lbs. scrod 1 inch thick shopping list
- 2 tbls. lemon juice, fresh is best for this shopping list
- 1 tbls butter, melted shopping list
- 1 tsp. grated lemon rind shopping list
- 1/2 tsp. thyme, dried shopping list
- salt and pepper to taste shopping list
- 1/2 cup bread crumbs shopping list
How to make it
- Preheat broiler
- Rinse fish and pat dry
- Stir together next 5 ingredients and set aside
- Place fish on lightly greased broiler rack, tucking under thin edges of fillets
- Brush with lemon butter mixture
- Broil for 5 minutes, basting with lemon butter mixture after 3 minutes
- Flip fish over and baste with remaining lemon butter mixture
- Broil 4 minutes
- Sprinkle bread crumbs over fish
- Broil long enough for crumbs to brown(about 1 minute)
