Ingredients
  • 1 1/2-2 lbs. scrod 1 inch thick
  • 2 tbls. lemon juice, fresh is best for this
  • 1 tbls butter, melted
  • 1 tsp. grated lemon rind
  • 1/2 tsp. thyme, dried
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/2 cup bread crumbs

Directions
  1. Preheat broiler
  2. Rinse fish and pat dry
  3. Stir together next 5 ingredients and set aside
  4. Place fish on lightly greased broiler rack, tucking under thin edges of fillets
  5. Brush with lemon butter mixture
  6. Broil for 5 minutes, basting with lemon butter mixture after 3 minutes
  7. Flip fish over and baste with remaining lemon butter mixture
  8. Broil 4 minutes
  9. Sprinkle bread crumbs over fish
  10. Broil long enough for crumbs to brown(about 1 minute)
