Hot and sour soup is one of the favorite chinese soups, it's hot and sour like it's name, and unlike most chinese soup it's thick

Ingredients
  • 1 tofu, julienned
  • 1 cup of pork, julienned
  • 1/2 cup of bamboo shoots, julienned
  • 1/2 cup of Wood Ear mushroom, julienned
  • 1 chilli pepper
  • 7 cups of water or broth
  • 1 tsp salt, or to taste
  • 1 tsp granulated sugar
  • 2 Tbs soy sauce
  • 2 Tbs chinese rice vinegar
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 1 Tbs cornstarch dissolved in 1/4 cup water
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 spring onion, finely sliced
  • 1 tsp of White pepper to taste

Directions
  1. Bring the water to the boil, add the pork, bamboo shoots, mushrooms, tofu.
  2. Stir in the salt, sugar, soy sauce and vinegar and sesame oil.
  3. cook for around 15 minutes, taste,
  4. Mix the cornstarch and water. Slowly pour the cornstarch mixture into the soup, stir well, add in the beaten egg, stir again
  5. garnish with sping onion Serve hot.

Hope you can try this hot and sour soup
it's alittle troublesome but it's good, and it's also good in winter or when you catch a cold. hope you like it
